Contemporary, figurative artist | London UK

Simply put, my art is about my life - and yours.

Every painting is a direct encounter with the inner and outer worlds I personally inhabit but these worlds - a constantly shifting landscape of moods, preoccupations, cultural moments and much more - often overlap yours.

So when I’m making a polaroid out of a moment - with nothing but pencils, paints or pastels - it can feel like a very personal, almost private practice. Once the work is out in the world though, a part of it belongs to everyone who resonates with it.

Perhaps in my landscape paintings you see the reflection of places you’ve also travelled to. Maybe from the colours I use, you feel energies that are meaningful to you. The experiences can really vary but the recognition of a connection is where my paintings become yours also.

I hope in looking at my art you find your own life — memories, interests, emotions and all — looking right back at you.
