After Cézanne No. 3

This carefully executed study of Cézanne's 'Pot of Primroses and Fruit' was an absolute joy to work on. Built up slowly with layer after layer of creamy oil pastels, this painting captures part of Cézanne's original work of pears, lemons and a plant but with a brighter palette. 

I consider this the pinnacle of every moment i've ever practiced with oil pastels and am really proud of the skill and final result.
