After Seago No. 4

Painted after Edward Seago's 'Norfolk Landscape After Snow,' this peaceful oil painting captures a small home on a white winter day. 

Despite it being a snowy scene, the artwork has a well considered colour palette that allows it to move beyond a simple white and brown landscape painting. From the dark blues in the background behind the house, the tonal variations in the snow and the soft pastel colours presented in the sky, everything works together to create a full scene. 

The variations in the brushstrokes and the dilution of the paint help build a realistic scene that captures the shapes and depth of natural landscapes. 

This is one of my favourite works and I love in particular the brushstrokes used for different parts of painting. It will be signed before sending out.
